does god allow you to be addicted to cigarettes and alcohol or TV or internet but not “drugs”?
I hear so many religious arguments against drugs because it is evil or the tools of satan, but according to that logic isn’t the tools that bring us YA, that you post on the same thing? If there is a “little bit” of wine or internet, why not a little bit of drugs or reality tv?
being against the law doesn’t make it wrong or right.
Under that line of thinking then christians need to concede that abortion is not wrong because it is legal. .Also prescription drugs and human growth hormone are not illegal, but can be used for illegal purposes or can become addictive. I’m merely pointing out the error in the “against the law” statement as it also leads to the ever popular, “does owning slaves” or having sex with a 5 year old make it right in your religion’s eyes? Some countries allow it.

Drugs are against the law. . . .duh. =)
I don’t believe that smoking, drinking and such will send you straight to hell. As a believer I can say that there are things that I have done and could do that would limit my walk with the Lord. . .not send me to hell, but keep me from having the best I could w/ the Lord.
Freedom. . .isn’t just about being able to do whatever you want to . . .Freedom is also having the ability to say no to things that will do nothing good for your life.

Drugs shouldn’t be anymore illegal than McDonalds is. The government has no right in deciding what you put into your body. Sure, drugs do have some negative effects, but if you don’t want to risk your health, you can choose to not do drugs.
