Your Hotel California Interpretation?

Question by LittleBird: Your Hotel California Interpretation?
This question has been asked before (and will probably continue to be asked in the future,) but I want your in-depth opinion of The Eagle’s “Hotel California.”

Yes, it must be what YOU personally interpret the song to mean, not what you think the writer’s intended meaning was. Lyrics AND mood. Cliche answers are fine as long as you explain yourself!

Also: Don’t bother linking to interpretations you google–I’ve probably seen them all already!!!!!! 😀
Full points for best. Thank you!
