Im doing a project for health, and I need to know the difference between alcohol dependency vs addiction, and also the stages of addiction behaviors… Any help?

Alcohol dependency is psychological whereas addiction is biological craving which is a physical dependence.

Alcohol dependency – according to free dictionary – equaivalent to alcoholism meaning:
“A disorder characterized by the excessive consumption of and dependence on alcoholic beverages, leading to physical and psychological harm and impaired social and vocational functioning. Also called alcohol abuse, alcohol dependence.”
