Here is the image for I am puzzled on the meaning of the white towel wrap around his hand. Does it symbol anything that is relevat towards gays and no hate? I am suppose to find a picture and talk about its controversity and depict the image to someone as if they were over the phone or something. But anyhow I am just stuck with the meaning of the towel. If you know any background of it would be much appreciated 🙂

Yes, the nakedness of a man could very much be the symbol of gay rights, and “no hate”.
The towel though is a difficult one. It could mean many things.
1. Maybe it is to cover up the self-mutilation many people (teenagers especially) experience because they need to be in control, and closet-homosexuals don’t have that.
2. It’s like a white flag of surrender (but that has a negative connotation). Maybe in a sense, it’s a surrender to accepting being gay.
Yeah 🙂

Another thing it could mean is a depiction of being “clean”. As the article states, he has made a turn around from drug problems, and “coming clean” is a term used to describe those who have fought and rose above addiction.
Keep in mind, it does not have to have one “correct” meaning. Art is SUPPOSED to instill a sense of wonder and questioning and mystery in the viewer. Typically, when an artist is asked what does something mean, he / she will not say, but will only say what does it mean to YOU.
I see it as photo intended for many interpretations. Yours, mine, or from someone else, … one is not necessarily any more right than the other.
