I know this guy who is 54 and he has really red skin.Could it be a sign of his alcohol and drug abuse? is it normal for alcoholic/druggie to have really red skin?

Family Hopes to End Prescription Drug Abuse in School – SPRINGFIELD – Four people die a day from prescription drug overdoses in the state of Ohio. It’s an epidemic that is now getting in the hands of teenagers.On Wednesday, a family and youth initiative called Cole’s Warriors hosted a seminar to educate city leaders, law enforcement agencies, teachers and parents about the signs of prescription drug abuse.The initiative is in honor of Cole Smoot, 16, who died after he was given a prescription pill by a friend at school.It was February of 2011 when the sophomore at Tecumseth High School took the pill. When his parents realized what was wrong, they took him to the emergency room. He later died that night in his sleep.His mother, Danielle Smoot, says her son was so vivacious and was so full of life.”According to the toxicology and autopsy that came back, it was just one pill, and this was his first and only time that Cole had taken a pill,” said Smoot.Smoot is now sharing her son’s story and her heartbreak to make a change and end the abuse in schools through education. “I’m the one who found him first, his lips were blue and he had no pulse.
