Some in-Depth Info on Cannabinoids Present in Marijuana?

Question by Ethan J.P: Some in-depth info on cannabinoids present in Marijuana?
I am an occasional pot smoker, but the reason why I’m asking this question is because I want a more reliable answer than any wiki site gives.
So there are over 85 different cannabinoids present in Mary Jane, naturally, and THC being the primary.
I always though THC was the compound that gave the stimulant effects, and it was cannabidiol (CBD) that gave the relaxant or sedative properties.

However, I also recently researched that apparently it is not the THC that gives the cancer fighting properties that people say. As we all know, there is a compound in cannabis that slows the growth of cancer cells by up to 95% or so, and even roll back the action. People have always said it was the THC that does this, however, I recently looked further into it and apparently it is another cannabis that results in this, not the THC.

Can anyone provide me with thorough details on the whole aspect of Mary Jane, chemically. I’d really appreciate that. Thanks a lot!
A couple of references as to where the information was received, as an extra, would be handy!

Thanks again!
